155 Pints Commercial Dehumidifier with Built-in Pump: For Spaces up to 8,000 Sq. Ft (155 PPD)

This is our second Wakar dehumidifier purchase. The first one has been fantastic for a little over two years and I'm sure this one will be wonderful as well. This is the Waykar 155 Pints Commercial Dehumidifier with Pump, Drain Hose and Washable Filter Space up to 8000 Sq. Ft, for Basements, Industrial or Commercial Spaces - 5 Year Quality Coverage. It just arrived today and is packaged extremely well, which is so important with such a large, heavy item (especially when the delivery drivers left the box sitting in the snow lol). The box was wet on the bottom, but was packaged very well and strapped, so it didn't fall apart while trying to get it in the house. Upon opening the box, it is insulated in heavy cardboard supports on all four corners and the unit itself is wrapped quite well in the most fantastic bubble paper I've ever seen! (Yes, I will absolutely be keeping it to repurpose lol). This unit has a very heavy door that opens allowing you access to the washable filter and has a heavy magnetic closure, so it won't vibrate when operating. The handle is halfway attached and just requires unscrewing two knobs and reinstalling them through the other two holes in the handle. They also included rubber washers so it sits quietly against the sides of the unit. For such a heavy unit, it moves very easily with the oversized wheels and the very sturdy handle. This is a well-built and very solid unit and came with very clear instructions and all the necessary hoses and clamps. It still needs to sit for 24 hours before we can plug it in, but I will update if there are any issues. Very thrilled with this purchase!

This de-hu is a boss. It took 2,000 sq ft basement and corresponding upper level of house from around 60% humidity to 37% humidity in less than 3 days. After reaching the set point, it started cycling the compressor on and off as per the specs. Note from the pics two things: install the pump drain tube as shown, making sure of a good seal with at least 1/2 inch overlap - and you must insure the filter medium is correctly installed over the aluminum cooling fins to properly filter out the dust. You will have to flex the filter slightly to get it into the guides properly. The main selling point of this machine for me was the 5 year warranty on the compressor. I've had trouble with other de-hu's losing water sucking ability at about the 3 year mark. All in all, a good purchase for the money for a larger area.

I purchased this commercial dehumidifier for my basement as the retail store brand dehumidifier cant handle the space and grind to maintain low humidity (50%) in a basement setting even though my basement is not a wet basement but 3 sides underground. I just carried 5 dehumidifiers, 3 brands to the landfill and have spent way more than the cost of the Waykar 155 pint commercial dehumidifier, this is why #1 I went commercial. After receiving the product, the door was heavily damaged, the box was ok, I contacted customer support by email and they offered suggestions to repair and also a partial refund at the time (great support for their product) but decided to hold Amazon accountable for a free replacement. I received the replacement to find the box good, but the door slightly damaged again, but not as bad as the first, so I decided to take Waykar product customer support on their original offer. Through several emails, let me say that their customer support (Penny) was very concerned, upfront and honest and upheld their offer to insure my satisfaction and peace of mind. As far as the product, the dehumidifier brought my humidity from 68% to 48% in 24 hours and is maintaining that level. I am on continuous drain at the moment but will change to pump drain at a later date. I am well pleased with the performance thus far, but with their 2 year warranty and 5 year compressor warranty, my stress level is very low knowing the Waykar is on the job and their impeccable Customer Support Team has my back.

This is a powerful and effective dehumidifier. After a prior unit from a different manufacturer began struggling to keep up managing moisture in a damp 1000sf basement, this Waykar dehumidifier has met the task. It isn't the quietest unit I've ever used, but is in the range of what would be expected for a unit of this capacity -- it's too bad the fan speed is not adjustable. Regardless, I'm happy with my purchase and expect this to be a workhorse for years to come.

The unit that was initially delivered had been badly damaged (either in transit or at the warehouse). Waykar customer service was responsive and incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering to send replacement parts or even a replacement unit rather than coordinating with Amazon. An impressive level of support conducted entirely via text.
